{"id":3257,"date":"2022-01-25T11:34:03","date_gmt":"2022-01-25T10:34:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/edicion.fundacionjesusserra.org\/investigacion\/?p=3257"},"modified":"2024-05-22T12:50:01","modified_gmt":"2024-05-22T10:50:01","slug":"mediterranean-diet-research-study-mortality","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/edicion.fundacionoccident.org\/investigacion\/eng\/mediterranean-diet-research-study-mortality","title":{"rendered":"Ra\u00fal Zamora participates in a study linking the Mediterranean diet with a lower risk of mortality in the elderly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fundacionoccident.org\/premios-investigacion\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/fjsraulzamora1643116339.jpeg\" width=\"814\" height=\"613\" \/>Ra\u00fal Zamora, winner of the second edition of the Fundaci\u00f3n Occident Research Award, has participated in a study that links the Mediterranean diet with the reduction in the risk level of mortality in the elderly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ciberisciii.es\/noticias\/una-mayor-adherencia-a-la-dieta-mediterranea-se-asocia-con-un-menor-riesgo-de-mortalidad-en-mayores\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Ciber ISCIII<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a study led by researchers from the Biomarkers and Nutritional &amp; Food Metabolomics group of the University of Barcelona and belonging to CIBERFES (CIBER of Frailty and Healthy Ageing) states that through the development of an index of dietary biomarkers, which is based on certain groups of foods included in the Mediterranean diet, helps reduce the risk of mortality by means of a prior assessment.
