Fundación Occident and UNICEF Spain are collaborating with the aim of supporting and protecting children and young people in humanitarian emergency situations. In fact, in just one year, more than 200 million children have needed urgent help. Faced with this situation, we are joining forces to mitigate the impact of violence, hunger, and lack of education that threaten their long-term development.

What does this agreement between Fundación Occident and UNICEF involve?

Through this agreement, we are supporting UNICEF's Global Emergency Fund to provide essential humanitarian aid for those in need within 48 hours of a natural disaster or conflict. And that’s not all: as part of our commitment to social responsibility and to at-risk groups, Fundación Occident also fosters awareness-raising initiatives among our employees and policyholders to support humanitarian efforts and raise awareness about the situation of children affected by emergencies.

One of the key aspects of our agreement with UNICEF is to provide support for emergencies in Sudan, Haiti, Syria, and the Sahel, where needs exceed funding received. 

In these highly complex scenarios, collaboration with the private sector is crucial for UNICEF to prioritise essential interventions and ensure the most vulnerable are protected.

With this agreement between Fundación Occident and UNICEF, we are standing firm on our belief that sustained cooperation is the necessary path to build a better world for every child.
