Street Pianos (Play me, I'm Yours)in Palma de Mallorca

Palma de Mallorca hosted the event organised by Fundación Jesús Serra, "Street Pianos, Play me, I'm Yours", where grand pianos were installed in iconic locations in the city, inviting the public to engage with them. A day to enjoy the activity that our founder, Jesús Serra Santamans, was so passionate about: improvising melodies on the piano, to the delight of those who, while not daring to play, choose to listen. This activity is part of the 68th edition of the Maria Canals International Music Competition, which takes place in March.

The original idea of placing grand pianos in central areas of different cities so that anybody who wishes can play them was put into practice by the Maria Canals International Music Competition a few years ago and was first carried out in Madrid in 2012 with our support. Thanks to its extraordinary success, the idea has been expanded to other towns and cities.
