El Pont Vilomara Town Council Awards for Excellence

Awards for excellence for the best students in Year 4 of Lower Secondary Education

Fundación Occident and El Pont de Vilomara i Rocafort Town Council kick off Excellence Awards to recognise the two best Lower Secondary Year 4 students

Fundación Occident and El Pont de Vilomara i Rocafort Town Council have set up the Excellence Awards, an initiative to recognise the two best Lower Secondary Year 4 students in the town. The awards have been devised with the aim of acknowledging the effort, commitment and motivation of local young people to continue their academic development.

The winners will go on an all-expenses-paid trip to Donegal (Ireland) during the last week of July to improve their English as part of the prize. They will take a 15-hour English course designed to boost their learning and strengthen key skills for their academic and personal future. The programme is rounded off by a packed schedule of cultural, leisure and sports activities.

With the creation of these prizes, Fundación Occident and the Town Council of El Pont de Vilomara i Rocafort want to promote student excellence at the local level and encourage them to achieve great success, contributing to opening new educational and personal opportunities for the young people of the municipality.

The call for entries will be open from 25 May to 19 June and all students registered in El Pont de Vilomara i Rocafort who have completed Year 4 in Lower Secondary Education in the year of the call and passed all their subjects are eligible to apply. The ability to work hard and excel coupled with collaboration and commitment to the community will be considered a plus.
