SuperArte grants:Fundación Grupo Sifu - Guillem León

At Fundación Occident, we collaborate with the inclusive art project promoted by the Fundación Grupo Sifu, which supports the artistic development of people with disabilities as a path to inclusion and improvement in their quality of life, furthering integration into society and the workplace.

Its SuperArte Grants programme encourages the development of artists with disabilities in order to help them pursue a professional and continuing education project in music studies or dance during the schoolyear that is underpinned by learning excellence.

This year, the recipient of our 2023 Piano Excellence Grant is Guillem León, a visually impaired pianist who is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Guillem León has already won various international awards, such as the Bella Music Foundation International in New York and the International Online Piano Competition "Gloria Artis" in Vienna.

A student at the Conservatori in Badalona until the age of 18, Guillem joined the Conservatori de El Liceu to continue his studies, and from there he went to London, where he continues his education and intends to cement his piano career.

Fundación Grupo Sifu fosters a unique cultural project in Europe that highlights and showcases the capabilities of functionally diverse artists through art.
